How do I submit my answers to the AICPA for grading?
You have two options for submitting your results:
- Submit your answers online to the AICPA. Instructions on how to use the online grading feature are enclosed with your product. NOTE: You will need a serial number to access the online grading feature. This is located on the answer sheet enclosed with your product. The serial number starts with CPE -. Results are instantaneous. If you have any questions, contact the WSCPA at (425) 644-8199 for assistance.
- Submit your answers via mail. Fill in the bubbles on your answer sheet. Remember to mark the bubble on your answer sheet asking if you want the results sent directly to your state board. The AICPA will send you a copy of the results and the original to the state board for your file. It will take up to six weeks to get your results via mail. NOTE: If submitting answer sheet via mail use certified mail, return receipt requested to show proof of receipt. Also make a copy of your answer sheet and retain for your records should your answer sheet get lost in the mail and you are asked to resubmit
My ethics book and exam are old. How can I tell if they're still good?
Self-study books are good for one year from the date of purchase. If you purchase self-study materials through the Society, we can research your date of purchase. For the AICPA Professional Ethics book and exam, you may be able to get a 30-day extension. To inquire about getting an extension, contact the AICPA grading department at (888) 777-7077.
I'm a CPA in another state and I'm applying for reciprocity in Washington. Can I get CPE credit for the professional ethics exam?
Yes, you are able to claim CPE credit in your state. Follow the CPE guidelines in your state and refer to the vendors recommended CPE credit to determine the correct number of hours.
